John Widdicomb French Empire / Deco inspired Armoire, circa 1970s. Made from cherry with paneled doors featuring ornate winged torchiere mounts in bronze over inlaid vine motif. Corners are chamfered and fluted in gold. The cabinet has an ornate crown with pierced arcade with ebonized gold sunburst at the center. Double doors open via dual hinges to an interior fitted with two dovetailed drawers and an area for a television or it could be fitted with a hanging bar for garments. Lower cabinet opens to accessory storage. The cabinet stately design offers elegance that will bring warmth to any setting.
